Sydney Real Estate

Unfortunately, perhaps, if you’re looking for real estate in Sydney, it doesn’t help to know that it’s the most expensive you can find in Australia. Once you get outside the city and go to other major cities such as Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, housing prices are much more reasonable.

However, if you still are in the market for a Sydney home, you can find some of the best views available. If you can afford a waterfront mansion, it’ll cost you a couple million to get in at the lower end of that range.

Some of the most expensive suburbs in Sydney include:

Milson’s Point

Mosman

Elizabeth Bay

Anywhere near the Harbour and within a 5km radius of the city.

Next down the ladder are suburbs such as:

Northern Beaches

North Shore

Eastern Suburbs (although some of these are top price).

Then comes:

Upper North Shore

Sutherland

Inner West

The most affordable locations in Sydney at the current time include:

South Western suburbs

Western Suburbs

South Coast and Central Coast (although these aren’t strictly part of Sydney, they are within a 2 hour drive).

So generally the CBD, North and Eastern suburbs are most expensive, followed by the South and then the Western suburbs.

Sydney is a wonderful place to live in, just make sure you conduct thorough real estate research before buying or renting your dream home!

If you go to the suburbs, you can pick up a very large house on a large property for about $500,000. This is about the same amount you’ll pay for a smaller apartment close to the city. It all depends on your lifestyle choice and preference.
